We are here to help you in an emergency.
WE WON'T LEAVE YOU STRANDED.
A few things that may be helpful to know .
There's nothing more frustrating than locking your keys in the car.
It happens 9 times to the average American driver. We have been told American Automobile Association AAA gets calls from more than 4,000,000 locked-out motorists every year.
Here’s what you can do to stay calm and get help on the way.
Don’t dial 911
911 is for emergencies only! call your local non-emergency police number. Now if you think you’re in danger, or a child is locked in the car sure call 911. Here in Tennessee it’s against the law for police to unlock cars. Sure they can call a locksmith, or a roadside assistance company or even a tow truck for you. But pursuant to TN.
Call for roadside assistance
Here’s when those annual auto-club fees really pay off. AAA, Allstate, and other organizations that provide roadside service can quickly get you inside. In some cases from what we hear it can take up to 2 hours for some services to arrive. If you don’t subscribe to such a service, WE strongly recommend you check out MCA, we have researched all of the major companies before we felt comfortable recommending any and by far MCA is the best we have seen.
Some highways here in Tennessee are patrolled by TDOT emergency trucks, these trucks provide emergency aid. Keep an eye out for one.
Call a locksmith, or even a tow truck
Get a temporary key
A dealer or even a locksmith might be able to make you an inexpensive key that will open the doors (but not start your car) so that you can retrieve your permanent keys.
Keep an extra key handy
Stash a spare ket in your purse, your wallet, or a well-hidden spot on the car. Most people go out the next day and buy a buy a small magnetic box that can hold a key and be placed on a car’s underside, WE DON’T RECOMMEND THAT. They generally fall off . Or leave a spare with someone who could rescue you.
